When I met Nina, her owners told me she was tense under saddle. The traditional fixes didn’t seem to work.
We took a step back and approached the training without a saddle.
If you can’t touch all the areas where the saddle and your leg goes, how would you expect your horse to respond under saddle?
It’s important that we take the time to focus on these areas and give our horses the tools to understand the sensations in their body.
And to actively find a way to show them how to physically relax themselves.
