Have you ever really taken the time to think about the route you ride with your horse?
Before I get on, I like to know exactly what we might come across. That means I often walk, cycle, or even drive the route first. I want to know where the dogs are, where the bins will be, or if there are donkeys in a nearby field.
By being aware of my environment, I can guide my horse with confidence instead of reacting when something surprises us. This preparation creates a very different feeling for both horse and rider — one that’s calmer, clearer, and more connected.
In this video, I’ll show you how I work through these everyday situations with Madison, turning potential tension into relaxed, confident moments.
