SUCCESS STORIES RECEIVED

Would you like your young horse to...

And without...

Then I have something for you. 👇

Set your young horse up for success for the rest of his life.

The first years are the most important.

The first interactions are the most defining. It wil start the relationship between human and horse, and it will determine a base level of the connection between you and them.

Done the right way, you’re giving your horse a huge advantage to life from the very beginning, teaching them what it is to live in a human world.

Learning starts from the first minutes.

As soon as your young horse can stand, he’s ready to learn.

It’s incredibly important to start the training process as soon as you can. You’re setting them up with a set of skills that avoid undesired situations that may make them nervous and create insecurities later in their life. This journey can start anywhere, from teaching them, of course, the basic leading, how to wear a halter or how to pick up their feet, all the things that they need to do as a young horse.

This learning proces never stops, and continues from foal to budding riding horse.

You can help your young horse.

It’s all about teaching your horse the right steps, and with this full, comprehensive course, I’ll guide you along the way.

Soon, your youngster will feel confident and relaxed in any circumstance!

“My message is that every horse can be confident and relaxed in the trailer. It's our job to show them how.”

“My message is that every horse deserves to be confident and relaxed. It's our job to teach them how.”

That's just the way he is?

Often when a horse has had trailer loading issues for a long time, we tend to think it’s because of who the horse is.

We believe that he’ll always show this behavior. That he will never change.

But a horse only behaves and responds a certain way, because he doesn’t know there’s a better way to respond. A way that’s not tense.

Your horse doesn't want to feel tense.

Horses are born only knowing how to survive in nature. They aren’t taught how to deal with all the pressures in our human environment, like the trailer.

Some horses have a high level of tolerance for those situations and seem to be able to deal with it. Other horses, probably like your horse, are more sensitive. They are the ones who would notice danger miles ahead.

That’s helpful in nature. But it’s not helpful when faced with the trailer.

It’s our responsibility to show our horses how to feel comfortable and relaxed.

"Yeah, but my horse is different..."

We tend to believe this is different for our own horse.

So many times I’ve heard someone say whenever they wanted to bring in a horse for training: “Wait until you see my horse. He’s different.”

But…

... he's not.

And be thankful for that, because it means your horse can change his behavior.

He can also feel confident and relaxed. He can also feel like he’s in control of the situation and feel comfortable. He doesn’t need to be living with fear and anxiety.

Give your young horse the best chance at life.

Through years of working with horses I’ve realised that, despite the story:

Every horse can feel confident and relaxed.

So that also includes your horse. Your horse can also be confident and relaxed while being introduced to all kinds of new things, like haltering or picking up their feet.

As a horse owner you can help by training your horse in the right way by giving him the information he needs. That way he doesn’t have to rely on his natural instinct of survival.

The TRT Young Horses course is designed to help you with this. It will give you the tools to mentally train your horse in the right way, step by step, and give your youngster the best start to life.

Your horse deserves it, and so do you.

Introducing you to the:

The course is designed to help horses that haven’t had a lot of human contact yet. Age doesn’t really matter, it’s a step-by-step approach starting from the very first interaction.

The ages we’ve mentioned are only an indication that correlates with the average journey of a young horse, but it’s definitely not a thing that’s set in stone.

If you’re still not sure how to incorporate steps in the situation with your horse, you can always ask advice from Tristan during the Live Q&A!
