✨ Pre-Sale Now Live: Liberty Groundwork with Alizée Froment

Sarah’s horse, a brumby, had a rocky start.

As she felt she needed something to help her horse, Sarah stumbled upon TRT Method during COVID, and it was a real game-changer.

''TRT delves into the human experience and the internal journey mirrored in our horses.''

For Sarah, it meant stepping away from riding when it no longer served her horses’ mental well-being and starting with groundwork instead.

What truly made a difference for Sarah was the supportive community within TRT. ❤️

Feeling isolated in her journey, she discovered a lot of comfort in a group of like-minded riders from all over the world.

Their feedback and support played a crucial role in her personal growth, which helped her tremendously in her journey with her brumby.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful story Sarah. I’m really grateful for this! 🙏

  1. That was a fantastic video. And sooo true and encouraging for everyone that works with horses. It definitely makes me try take a video of my horse and me facing problems. Even me being a leisure rider with no competition or medal plans.

  2. Sarah is so right. Working on your own is not easy. I’ve gone back to groundwork for my OTT Thoroughbred, Ducky and my Welsh Pony, Phoenix, and what a difference! We do really communicate much better. Still have a long way to go! The three of us are much happier. Thank so much Tristan and the team. KK

  3. This gives me hope to try TRT with my new mustang – I joined during COVID and then…did…nothing with it! Time to sign back in!

  4. Well Sarah and Team TRT…..Sarah your words touch my heart, yeah the music inspired it also but it is your words Sarah, heartfelt truth. Beautiful video, beautiful community which is a family. My Asperger brain is very independent and not drawn to messaging….so l do not join in much in that way BUT when l do pop into the TRT group l am welcomed and loved as the family member who appears occasionally from the ‘back paddock’ to say hi and disappear again. Tristan and his Team are so much fun, so inspiring, the teaching of Tristan’s methods are superb and deeply sharing……deep gratitude with all of my being, Tristan! Thank you and thank you Sarah for sharing your journey 💐💖😁

  5. Thank you for sharing this. I’m going to record myself with my horses… cringing already but I’m inspired to learn.

  6. I’m fairly new here, I remember an email I received in the beginning about an App or something where other members a communicate with each other 🤔 am I correct? I feel like I’m missing something.

  7. Thanks for this video with Sarah, and as a new but aged member going through the past 25 years with different horses and different training method , I have finally come to a place where all my future training make sense with the help of the TRT method. The TRt method is a gift for all horse people and you get to understand why your horse behave in a certain way, and you get the tools to be the mentor for your horse, your companion for life. And the training modules starts from the first step you take with your horse up to high levels of school riding courses, dressage, hacking , lounging and so much more. And nothing in the training is forcing the horse or a quick fix. Every little step forward with this method , whether you are a hobbyrider or a competitor, gives you the tools you need to go forward in your training in your own tempo, with your own special horse.
It is not easy doing the training alone online in a different language but with the fabulous help from Sarah and other trainers in the community you just start, watch the videos and try, then ask simple or difficult questions, and you have the answer the same day. A life changer for all horses. 🙏

  8. Sarah is right. There truly is a series of lightbulb moments that happens. I had a leased horse I started TRT with and I could not believe the responses I got from him once I implemented Tristan’s ideas. Now I have a totally green NSH who is high strung and easily frustrated but so intelligent. I honestly think he’s way over my ability level. But we are 2 months into ground work (only 4 days a week) and I see so much improvement almost every time I’m at the barn. He is slowly choosing to find his calm over tension. No one else is doing TRT around me and I honestly feel silly sometimes on the ground doing what probably looks like Jedi mind tricks instead of just lounging the crap out of him like I’ve always seen and been taught to do- but the ability to reach out and ask questions to the TRT team in my times of “crisis” makes all the difference. Every time I’ve asked, I’ve gotten a response – and a helpful one at that. I really appreciate the gift of learning all these things about horses I always wondered about and the ability to put them into practice. I choose to replace my expectation with appreciation each time I’m at the barn working with my horse and it’s been a really fun and therapeutic journey. Thank you Tristan!

  9. Hello all,
I’m in Australia too. & not a member yet.

I don’t do competition either, dry basic rider. I have 2 Brumbies & Iv’e e just communicated with them myself, on groundwork.
To me animals want trust & respect
    They are my mirror always.
I feel them & im aware they know me better than I do myself.
I love watching & listening to Tristan & his gentle knowing ways of the horse & how we as the human must communicate better with them.

  10. I’m new as of today, I too have been sceptical and to be honest I still am as I don’t think “I” can do it on my own. I’m nearly 52 and rode flat out as a kid up the bush on my little Welsh Mountain Pony in Victoria Australia. My two friends and I had a ball. Never had lessons or went to pony club. I loved that pony and was absolutely devastated when I grew too big for her.
I didn’t get another bigger horse and quit riding. I got back into horses when my two daughters were 8 and 6 years old, they are now soon to be 16 and 18. My youngest never really took it up but my eldest did. After she outgrew Timmy 10hh pony we got Wilbur 15.1hh TB who had more whoa the go initially. She had many lessons and went to pony club. Liv (my daughter) is a very anxious kid and would never ride out of an arena, when she did it was only with her instructor. To cut a very long story short she was impatient and if I’m totally honest with my self didn’t have the passion. There were other issues too that broke her confidence, and now I am realising it was so many people having negative opinions about Wilbur. We were told he wasn’t the right horse for her so we were “strongly encouraged” to buy a 6 yo Stockhorse from one of the pony club mum’s friends. He was broken in but green. She rode him for a bit and said yes she wanted him. He was quiet to ride but needed a bit of work and exposure….. my daughter has lost interest as it was going to take too much work, he is very nervous and skitty which put her off. Her and I had many arguments about it. I sent him to a trainer who said you need to give him away he won’t change. He flicked her off, I got him checked out by a vet, he was a bit tight in the back end had a bit of dry needling etc but Liv wouldn’t get back on after that and that was it. So now “I” have a TB and a Stock Horse who I adore being with and would love to get back into riding (just for pleasure). Thought I had lost my mojo at 50 but had a few rides on a friends horse and loved it, but figured I had only 2 paddock ornaments after seeking help and advice from a lot of people…… until a friend told me about this method. So I finally plucked up the courage to join and here I am….

  11. Such a beautiful inspiring story
